Bucktail Deceiver Jig - Round Goby

 
 Despite round gobies being an invasive nuisance in the Great Lakes ecosystem, they have become an important component in predatory-prey interactions for many species of the Great Lakes. Brown trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass, and walleyes have developed a huge dependency for them because of their inefficient swimming ability. This Bucktail Deceiver hair jig in the “round goby” color pattern features a mixed blend of dark olive and brown for the top coupled with white underbelly to accurately represent its coloration. Sets of lobed pectoral fins are also added as well to provide realism and match its morphology. A set of 10 mm Flymen Fish Company eyes also adds to the realism. Comes in 3", 4”, 5" and 6-inch models.  Jig head sizes come in 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, and 1- ounce. Jig comes equipped with a #2 Gamakatsu octopus stinger hook which increases hook-up percentages tremendously.  Holographic brown and pearl flash are added to each section to provide supplemental movement. Tied onto a darter head that features custom "brown sparkle" finish allows for erratic movements to draw in aggressive and non-aggressive predators.
