Bucktail Deceiver Trolling Fly - FINNEAUS EDITION - BLUEBACK HERRING

Bucktail Deceiver Trolling Fly - FINNEAUS EDITION - BLUEBACK HERRING

Blueback herring are traditionally an important baitifsh in the ocean for growing trophy-sized stripers in the nutrient rich wates off the Northeast US. The mixed color combination of blues, greens, and purples in the upper back are also a similar coloration characteristic associated with alewives, the dominant and significant foragefish for trout and salmon in the Great Lakes. The Blueback Herring color scheme also accurately represents the Pacific herring (Clupea pallasi), the main prey item for saltwater salmon. While as realistic as the standard model, the PAIRED FINS edition features two sets of custom dyed grizzly hen saddle feathers to clearly symbolize the pelvic and pectoral fins. BONUS OPTION for 3 fins (Anal, pelvic, and pectoral). No extra charge for three fins and message notes in checkout for three fins instead of two. Paired fins come in two color combinations: PURPLE GRIZZLY, KINGFISHER BLUE GRIZZLY and ROYAL BLUE GRIZZLY. Pelvic and pectoral fins typically function for stabilization and change of direction swimming. Fly pattern is specifically designed for trophy Great Lakes and saltwater king salmon, steelhead, lake trout, brown trout, and other trophy freshwater and saltwater gamefish. Fly comes custom-rigged with standard 50-pound flurocabon leader connected with a single Gamakatsu octopus hook. The 7-inch model and above comes custom-rigged with a double single-octopus hook system. Treble hook is avaialble upon request. (Message about treble hook stinger in checkout notes). Overall, this is the most realistic looking trolling fly ever designed.
