Lake trout are one of the most dominant pelagic predators that inhabit deep clear oligotrophic lakes and river systems throughout North America. In trophy lake trout fisheries such as Lake Superior, Great Bear and Great Slave Lake, Lake Athabasca, Lake Wellsley, and as well as multiple others, they have excellent potential to achieve sizes up to 50-plus pounds. Throughout the season, lakers routinely cruise deep water flats below mainlake thermoclines in summer and adjacent to breaklines in search of nutritionally enriched pelagic forage such as whitefishes, ciscoes, and lake herring. As requested by Lake Superior and Canadian guides, Musky Mike Flies has designed the ultimate line-up of multi-articulated hair jigs that imitate larger pelagic foragefishes that lake trout prefer. The Megladon Gamechange Bucktail Deceiver (lake trout / ice fishing edition) in Blueback Herring color scheme is available in 8-inch and 10-inch lengths. The 8-inch model features 5 articulations and 10-inch exhibits 6 articulations. Tied on multiple Big Game Waddington shanks, the middle region of the hairjig contains an extremely sharp #2/0 Gamakatsu SL12S stinger hook and main jig hook is Kalin's Saltwater Bullet Jighead available in 3/4, 1, and 1 1/2 ounce models. The 2-ounce model is tied onto a Kalin's Swimbait Jig Head.  Articulation to middle region stinger hook and shank to the jighook is 50-pound braid. Rest of the multi-articulated design consists of royal blue grizzly Schlappen tail and upper back with multiple color combinations for blueback herring. Back section of hairjig contains chartruese, followed turqoise blue transitioned into a mixed blend of royal blue and purple located upfront. Underbelly is white. Upper back is also accented with sparse dressings of holograpic teal blue and royal blue flash, and peacock herl. Custom select lateral line options available in Royal Blue Saltwater Holographic or segmented blue pearl Lateral Scale Flash (select in drop down menu). Royal blue grizzly hen saddle feather establishes the gill flap or operculum. Multiple applications of thin and thick UV resin to the thread wraps and threadhead allow for extra durability that allows for multiple uses. The 8-inch model features 10 mm and 10-inch model features 15 mm custom-made 3-D  holographic eyes from Dead Meat Customs which thus provides the best in realism.
